Your name, email address and message sent through the contact form are used only to reply to you and are not shared with third parties. For spam protection we use Akismet and Cloudflare Turnstile; your submission and connection details are sent to those services for that purpose.

Analytics

To improve the site, we collect usage statistics with Google Tag Manager and similar tools. This may involve cookies, which you can disable in your browser settings.

What Sunya (the mascot) remembers and how it is used

• Your name (nickname) and answers: The name and words you teach Sunya are saved in your browser and on this site’s server, so Sunya can greet you next time. A cookie used only by this site (up to 400 days) identifies your browser. Only the site owner can see these; they are not shown to other visitors.
• Words you teach: They are sent to Google’s generative AI (Gemini) for translation and a safety check. Your name is not sent with them. Names of people, contact details and insults are not used in Sunya’s chatter.
• “Recently learned words”: Only gentle, harmless words are spoken, without saying who taught them.
• “Someone visited from ___ recently”: The country is roughly estimated from your browser’s time zone setting. IP addresses and personally identifying information are not stored; only “country → last time seen” is kept, for a few days.
